Cookie Policy

Last updated: 13 July 2026

This page explains what cookies Ownloop uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your choices.

1. Cookies we use

  • Essential cookies: required for security, authentication flow, and core site functionality. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies: used to understand usage patterns and improve the product. Ownloop uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 (GA4). These are set only where permitted (see Section 4).

2. Why we use cookies

Essential cookies keep the website secure and functional. Analytics cookies help us measure traffic and improve onboarding, performance, and feature quality. We do not use cookies to sell your personal data.

3. Consent and how we apply it

We operate a Consent Mode "default-deny" configuration: non-essential storage (including analytics) is denied until you consent. Inside regions that require prior consent (e.g. the EU/EEA and UK), we show a consent banner and set analytics cookies only after you accept. Outside those regions, analytics may be enabled by default, and you can opt out at any time via Cookie Settings.

4. Cookie duration

Ownloop stores your consent preference for up to 180 days so you are not prompted on every visit. Analytics cookie duration is managed by Google Analytics based on its default settings and configuration.

5. Managing your preferences

You can update your cookie choices at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies, though blocking essential cookies may affect how the site works.

6. Withdrawing consent

You may withdraw or change consent at any time from Cookie Settings in the footer. Once withdrawn, analytics cookies are denied and new analytics storage is blocked. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. More information

For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy. Questions about cookies can be sent to support@ownloop.io.
